Zambak Cattle Feed

Cattle breeding can only be a viable enterprise if the correct species is selected and the correct feeding program is implemented.

The shelters of cattle raised should be clean and airy. Cattle should have access to clean and fresh water to drink whenever they require. Providing water rations will decrease the amount of feed consumed and therefore the animal will lose weight.
It is recommended that the animals should be weighed once a month. The feeding program can be altered according to the current weight of the animal. Cattle that are observed to have substandard weight across 2 or 3 examinations should be taken out of the feeding program.
Using semi-free range feeding systems decreases the frequency of hoof disease and increases the quality of the meat in comparison to animals raised in closed and restricted environments.
Cattle should be looked after in an airy place with clean and dry flooring.
Throughout the feeding program, cattle should be given 2-2.5 kg of dry grass or straw.
